Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) : NDWI = (NIR-MIR)/(NIR+MIR)
Also called NDII (Normalized Difference Infrared Index) (Hardisky, 1983), LSWI (Land Surface Water Index) (Xiao, 2005), and NDMI (Normalized Difference Moisture Index) (Xu, 2006).
