SAVI (Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index)

Calculation:

SAVI = (1 + L) * (NIR - R) / (NIR + R + L)

L = correction factor

L = 0 for high vegetation cover, 1 for low, and usually L = 0.5

Characteristics:

ratio-based index,

limited range: -1<SAVI<1,

effect of soil minimized
